We are re-opening! We hope to be open June 1, for twelve weeks through the summer! In addition to our preschool programs we're hosting a small playgroup for Kinders called Kinders-in-the-garden, for some of our Kinders to expand their academic skills and have loads of creative social fun in the garden! Please email us for more info, space is very limited!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all our amazing families who are donating funds during this closure time so there can be a preschool for their children to return to one day! Without your support, our doors would already be shuttered. No government assistance has come our way to date, all efforts by Kate Brown so far have basically been PR, we are hoping this will change! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are able to provide limited care to "essential personnel," please contact us if you fall in this category and are seeking care for your 2-5 year old during this time.

We currently have one opening at our Clinton Park (full day) school, and a few openings at our Woodstock (half day school) for new friends!

Little Hands Garden School

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our third school this spring! The new Salmon Street location is in a classic Portland Victorian home located around the corner from the Belmont library. The yard includes a mature fruit orchard where students will harvest apples, pears, grapes, kiwi, figs, raspberries, strawberries, and other delicious foods they will grow and tend in the garden. There are also large fir trees providing shade and protection from the rain, and many little paths and bushes to hide beneath and spy on visiting fairies. There is an outdoor greenhouse and art-space for students to explore creatively plus ample indoor space for circle time, developing small and gross motor skills, Spanish language enrichment, dressing up, baking, and having a quiet snuggle in the reading room. We are opening a new half-day school in a beautiful victorian home near the Belmont library! We will be having two open houses, one on March 23 at 5:30 PM and one on April 4 at 5:30 PM. You are all welcome to come visit us! The location is 3942 SE Salmon Street.
