Yesterday was a beautiful day to celebrate the arrival of the CDM Class of 2030 on campus! We are looking forward to getting to know our D1 students more as the fall semester gets underway and to recognizing them at White Coat Ceremony in November. Dr. Kang continues to make valuable strides in research regarding the use of open education resources (OER) in dental education. Not only can OER reduce cost barriers but also improve student learning. We're incredibly proud of Dr. Kang's work - and appreciative of the faculty, staff, and students who have supported her efforts - and we look forward to seeing how it develops.

We are so happy to share this news and continue this valuable partnership with MaineHealth's Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders. There is much for our students to learn from providing care to those with special healthcare needs and it is incredibly important work. Students and faculty from CDM's chapter of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry recently made an appearance at the Yarmouth Clam Festival. They did a wonderful job making oral hygiene and nutrition education fun while engaging with the youngest members of our community. Thank you to all who volunteered their support!
