🎉 A major milestone for UNE’s public health programs!
The University of New England’s Graduate Programs in Public Health (GPPH) within the College of Professional Studies has received full continued CEPH accreditation for the maximum seven-year term, through December 31, 2033.
Following a March 2026 site visit, the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) formally reviewed its findings in September and determined that the program met all 33 Master of Public Health (MPH) accreditation standards at the highest level with no remediation required.
Led by Dr. Carol Ewan Whyte, Ph.D., Director of Graduate Programs in Public Health, and key members of GPPH and the College of Professional Studies, this achievement demonstrates the high-quality education offered and marks an important milestone for UNE’s public health programs.
UNE’s MPH program has maintained continuous CEPH accreditation since 2011, reflecting a longstanding commitment to excellence in public health education.
We’re excited to continue educating current and future public health students and preparing them to address existing and emerging important and relevant issues facing their communities.
