🌀JAY COUNTY SWIM CLUB - STANDOUT SWIMMER 🌀

The Jay County Swim Club coaches would like to recognize Emme Theurer as this week’s standout swimmer! Emme comes to practice with a positive attitude, and is always ready to work. She listens, does what she’s asked the first time, and works hard! Emme’s most admirable trait is that she is a GREAT teammate! She encourages everyone, she’s always willing to help, and she shows such patience and kindness with our young swimmers. Congratulations, Emme! We are lucky to have you on our team!

Our standout swimmers will receive a black JAY cap in recognition of them exemplifying our team motto! (The caps are not in yet, but Emme will be the first one to get a black cap!)

We are looking forward to another great week in the pool- unfortunately we won’t be in our home pool but we are grateful for our neighbors in SA who share with us! Our swimmers really enjoyed ending practice with chocolate milk last Thursday and we would like to offer it again this week. We need 2 gallons of chocolate milk to cover all of our swimmers. If you would be willing to help us out this week please leave a comment below!

Once we are able to get our “regular” practice schedule established we will send out a longer term sign up. Thank you for helping us support the kids! 🏊‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️💪🏻

*Board members may be reaching out to make a chocolate milk donation schedule. Chocolate milk has a good carbohydrate to protein ratio for the kids’ post workout nutrition and recovery! Thanks in advance to all families who can help!

Done with our first practice of the 2026-2027 season! We had a solid group make the drive to South Adams! Our focus points for practice #1 - respect & body alignment! It was so fun to see the kids back in the water & have some older kids back with us! Proud of all of these kids… it’s going to be a great season! (We missed a few individual pictures, but will get them on Thursday!) GO JAY!

Below is our practice schedule for the next two weeks. This schedule is for veterans of the Jay County Swim Club, who are listed on our roster with current USA Swimming memberships. If the JCHS pool is ready for us before any of the dates listed below, we will post a new schedule for practices at JCHS! Our hope is that we will be able to start with ALL SWIMMERS at JCHS before 10/19, but wanted a plan in place until then.

Tuesdays (10/6 & 10/13) & Thursdays (10/8 & 10/15):
- Swim practice at South Adams HS.
- Red 5:45 - 7:00pm
- Blue 5:45 - 7:30pm

REMINDERS:
**You must be a veteran of the club to participate in these practices. We are excited for our new members to start, but want to do that at our home pool.
**You MUST have an updated USA Swimming Membership if you did not swim club last year. You are still considered a veteran of our club, but must have an updated membership.
**BE ON TIME: On time = suit on & ready to be in the water by 5:40.
**Bring your equipment bag. Make sure you have all gear listed in the club packet. If you have your stretch band, bring it! We will use them on Day 1!
**Parents, please pick up on time!

This is a big week! Time for us to get after it! Let’s go JAY!

**New swimmers: We are pumped to have you trying out/joining us! We will post the tryout date/start date for new swimmers as soon as we can! We do not expect payment (Jay/leveled/USA memberships) until your swimmer has tried out and made the team. You are also not expected to order a team suit until you have made the team. We will be flexible with our new members as we get the season started! Thanks for sticking with us!

**If you have a swimmer who needs to try out for our team, do NOT purchase a USA membership yet. Please wait until your swimmer makes the team so you do not waste money! We understand that you may have to purchase after 10/14, which was the due date listed in the club packet.

**Current members, you must update your memberships by 12/1/26 on the USA Swimming website. We will be offering practices for Jay Co. Swim Club veterans starting next week. If you took a year off from club, you must have an updated USA membership to practice with us.
