Our season just ended yesterday, but we’ve been prepping and planning how to make our next season even better!

Thanks to Coach Matt & Glen, we have a new “toy”! 😆 One area that ALL of our swimmers need to focus on is underwater kicking off of our walls. This is the fastest part of the race, so we really need to work our walls! Matt & Glen made us a kick out buoy to try! Ideally, we would have two of these in each lane so swimmers are encouraged to kick past the adjustable buoy off of each wall.

I appreciate Matt & Glen’s time they put into constructing this. Can’t wait (for you swimmers 😬) to try it! Pictured below is the buoy they made and a photo for you to understand how it will work!

*There are premade buoys called Swim Bridges that can be stored on top of the lane lines. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in donating a Swim Bridge to our team, please send me a message. I will link them below so you can see the prices, information, and videos of how they work! Your donation would be very appreciated and immediately benefit the kids! THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

The Jay County Swim Club competed in the 2026 Central East Divisional Championships at Lawrence Central High School. We had a phenomenal meet with multiple swimmers cutting huge chunks of time! We have the BEST kids - they’re well behaved, they’re great teammates, and they’re tough! Our kids support each other, and because of our size, we know each other well and it is so fun to celebrate the success of each kid! We are proud of the swimmers, but want to highlight a few standouts! (Check the radio and newspaper for a more detailed report!)

⭐️ KYNLEE HOMAN - Kynlee swam 5 LIFETIME BESTS in all 5 events! She dropped five seconds in her 200 free, five seconds in the 100 back, and four seconds in the 100 free.

⭐️ ISLA KAISER - Isla had 5 LIFETIME BESTS in her 6 events! She medaled in the 100 and 200 breaststroke!

⭐️ CARSYN GUGGENBILLER - Carsyn had 4 LIFETIME BESTS in her 6 events! She was the champion in the 50 and 100 fly, and earned a STATE cut time in the 50 fly!

⭐️ GRANT GLENTZER - Grant swam 3 LIFETIME BESTS, earning a 7th place finish in the mile! We challenged him to hold a consistent pace on each of the 33x50s, and he did that, beating his old time by almost ten seconds!

⭐️ COOPER GLENTZER - Cooper earned a medal in three events - 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 100 backstroke!

We are so proud of all of our swimmers who competed - Kynlee, Isla, Carsyn, Grant, Cooper, Jaley, Aubrey, Parker, and Brea! These kids have put in lots of hard work this summer and we are just SO PROUD! GO JAY! ♥️🤍💙
