Escuela Pura Vida offers Spanish classes to children and adults of all ages! Learning together as a family is FUN!

Escuela Pura Vida is an after-school Spanish program designed by veteran teacher, Señorita Dafni. EPV uses a variety of tools to teach language acquisition skills to children at their most optimal age for learning. Señorita Dafni incorporates a mixture of dance, song, movement, play, art and technology to create a fun and easy learning environment. Classes are dynamic to accommodate all learning s

tyles and can host up to twelve children. EPV also offers adult classes for people who are eager to learn a second language, or who would like to master their Spanish language skills. Classes are taught in an open-concept atmosphere with an informal approach to make all students feel comfortable and engaged while learning. This class is a great complement for parents whose children are enrolled in our Spanish program. About the Owner: Señorita Daneel Dafni is an experienced Spanish teacher and nanny with a Masters in Education and a Bachelors in Spanish and International Business. As a veteran Spanish teacher who adores children, she has developed a plethora of educational resources to accommodate a variety of learning styles. Señorita Dafni has lived in Spain and Costa Rica and has traveled to many Spanish-speaking countries to perfect her knowledge of the language. She is excited to share her teaching techniques with the local community and is hoping to spread her passion for the Spanish language to your child, too!

She spent some time in beautiful Llanes, taking in the landscapes, architecture, local culture—and, of course, the food! 🥘🧀

From fabada asturiana to cachopo, there was plenty to discover.

One of our favorite things about learning Spanish is getting to experience the places and cultures that bring the language to life. 💛

¡Esta mañana marks the final day of Spanish Summer Camp 2026! 💛

What a fun couple of weeks it’s been, filled with smiles, juegos, exploration, laughter, and lots of learning.

A huge gracias to Robbie Harrison Sabrina and Ale Cosío for your incredible teamwork, dedication, and support. It truly takes a village, and we’re so lucky to have such an amazing community at EPV.

👀👂👃👅🖐️ Our campers spent the day exploring los cinco sentidos (the five senses)!

Through games, songs, crafts, stories, and outdoor exploration, our campers practiced Spanish in a fun, hands-on way. Every activity encouraged them to use new vocabulary while building confidence and making meaningful connections.

At Escuela Pura Vida, we believe language is learned best through play, creativity, and real-life experiences. 💛

📚 One of our favorite books to read with advanced Spanish students is Como agua para chocolate (CAPC) by Laura Esquivel.

CAPC teaches so much more than vocabulary and grammar—it opens the door to culture, history, and meaningful conversation.

Fun fact: the title doesn’t translate directly into English. In Mexico, “como agua para chocolate” refers to water hot enough to make hot chocolate, and can also describe someone full of intense emotion.
