It was founded in 2015 by Katherine Nicoll and Laura Cowie, two Maine Teaching Artists specializing in creative writing and filmmaking. We offer unique creative writing courses that meet students where their interests lie in screenwriting and filmmaking. Katherine Nicoll and Laura Cowie are the creative force behind Unwritten Roads. Both hold BFA’s in Creative Writing from the University of Maine Farmington and have facilitated writing and filmmaking workshops all over New England and the U.S.
