The ego is just an amalgamation of of our past experiences. Sometimes the ego can be found dictating the directions of our lives, which can result in viewing life through a limited lens.

Anything new or expansive lies beyond our comfort zones. The egos major job is to “protect” you. However protection through the lens of the ego can look like someone being too scared to be their true self. Or fearful of leaving that job they hate, or relationship that has not been working for years.

Tell that ego “we got this, and yes this new opportunity seems scary, but I care too much to allow myself to be anything less then my joyous and best expression of myself!”

Oh👏🏾 My👏🏾 Gawd👏🏾

and finally got my black ass to jump out of a plane!!!!!!! And would you believe it, I’d do it again. There’s something so Zen and oddly peaceful, free falling into the sky before your chute is released. A true act of surrender, while falling into the unknown. It occurred to me up there, that the way I felt jumping out of a plane feels eerily similar to embarking on a new and unknown experience. It’s scary, nerve racking and you have no clue how it’s all going to turnout. Yet, it was better than what I could’ve ever imagined. I can’t say that all experiences turn out the same, but I can say for certain that each one has been responsible for my spiritual, mental, and emotional development in some shape or form. I don’t recommend jumping out of a plane, but I do encourage anyone still reading this to rip the band aid off and jump head first into their life and experiences. Yes it’s scary, and yes it’s unfamiliar and unknown, but you’re worth it. You’re worth living a full and present life! Come on y’all, we got this!
