A great day for Team TCC at the Dempsey Challenge! 💙

We are so proud of our team for completing the challenge today and raising over $3,000 for the Dempsey Center!

We also had the extra special opportunity to celebrate one of our own as they rang the Survivor Bell. 🔔💛

A huge thank you to our TCC families, friends, and community for all of the donations, shares, and support that helped us reach our goal. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make today possible!

Way to go, Team TCC!

The classrooms are ready, the shelves are stocked, and the environments are waiting to come alive. 💛

Tomorrow we officially begin the 2026–2027 school year at TCC! Our educators have spent the past week thoughtfully preparing spaces, connecting with families, and creating environments designed for curiosity, creativity, connection, and play.

Right now everything is perfectly in its place… but we know the real magic begins tomorrow when these spaces are filled with children’s ideas, questions, laughter, artwork, discoveries, and a little bit of beautiful chaos. 🌿✨

We can’t wait to welcome our TCC kiddos back and see where this year takes us.

Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year! 💚

🌿 LIMITED PRESCHOOL OPENINGS FOR SEPTEMBER! 🌿

Looking for a preschool where your child can explore, create, connect, and learn through what inspires them? The Children’s Center has a limited number of preschool openings available for September!

Enrollment Options:
• Full-Time: Monday–Friday
• 3-Day: Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Our mixed-age preschool classrooms serve children ages 3–5 and are rooted in a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. We use an emergent curriculum, meaning our teachers build meaningful learning experiences around the interests, questions, and curiosity of the children in their classroom.

At TCC, preschool is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom. 💛

🌲 Explore our community with trips to places like Baxter Woods and the Duck Pond
🚌 Participate in exciting field trips and hands-on experiences
🎶 Enjoy enrichment programming, including music and French
🎨 Learn through art, nature, play, investigation, and collaboration
🌱 Build relationships in a nurturing mixed-age 3–5 classroom community
💭 Follow their curiosity through projects and experiences inspired by their own interests

We believe children are capable, curious learners, and our educators create environments where they can ask questions, take risks, make discoveries, and develop a genuine love of learning.

Spaces are limited for September! If you’re interested in securing a preschool spot or learning more about The Children’s Center, please reach out to our Program Director, Kailyn, at [email protected].

💚 We’d love to welcome your family into the TCC community!

Today feels extra special 💛

Rita, one of our beloved educators, was recognized at the Maine State Capitol for her dedication to early childhood education—and it couldn’t be more deserved.

For over 20 years, Rita has been a steady, loving presence at TCC. She has cared for, guided, and celebrated hundreds of children, building relationships with families that span generations. There is something truly rare about the way Rita shows up each day—with patience, warmth, humor, and a deep understanding of what children need to feel safe, seen, and valued.

Her impact lives far beyond her classroom walls, in the confidence of the children she nurtures and the trust she builds with every family she meets.

We are endlessly grateful for you, Rita, and so proud to see your work recognized in this way. What a gift you are to this community ✨
