Play is a learning experience. Through play, children learn to be kind, respectful, and present. They develop the ability to cooperate with others, solve problems, express their emotions, and build confidence. Play helps children understand themselves and the world around them while fostering creativity, empathy, and resilience.

Early childhood learners acquire knowledge of the solar system through interactive play, sensory discovery, and relatable narratives rather than intricate astrophysical concepts. Educators establish foundational skills in science, vocabulary, and pattern recognition by utilizing concrete models and integrating space concepts into daily routines.

The Solar System!
We finished our big Solar System project this morning! We’ve completed our learning about all 8 planets! 🪐
It took us nearly 5 days to complete this project. Our first step was getting super super messy with black paint and painting the entire cardboard black. Next, we used a paintbrush to splatter white paint to mimic the stars and asteroids. We also created all of our planets using paint and tin-foil!
They all did such an incredible job with attention to detail with the colors for each planet. They even remembered to incorporate any “spots” or distinct features each planet has.
Yay for space!
