We came, we saw, we bailed. Such is life sometimes. At this point in my life ego doesn’t really play into the decisions I make in the mountains. The summits don’t count. Friends do, fun does and creating lasting memories in beautiful places does, too.
It’s always a little crazy to leave Maine in the summer, but this trip marked 15-years cancer-free and I wanted to go play in the mountains with my friends. Big thanks to wild places, beautiful landscapes, decades-long friendships and a body and mind that grants me the ability to enjoy it all.
