Portland Bicycle Rodeo – April 25

Mark it on your calendars and we will be reposting this event:

PPD is excited to partner with the Sumner County Health Department and Portland Parks & Recreation to host the Portland Bicycle Rodeo. This will be an educational event focused on bike safety for kids and families.

April 25, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Richland Park Gym / Lot

This FREE community event is open to all ages and will include:

• Bike safety education
• Helmet fit checks
• A bicycle obstacle course
• Touch-a-Truck opportunities
• And more!

Please bring your bike and helmet.

This is a great opportunity for kids to learn safe riding skills while meeting local first responders and enjoying a morning of fun.

Community Blood Drive – April 17

PPD is proud to partner with Blood Assurance to host a Community Blood Drive on Thursday, April 17 at Generation Church in Portland.
Blood donations are critical to saving lives every day. One unique aspect of Blood Assurance is that the blood donated stays local, helping support hospitals and patients throughout Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and help neighbors in need. Just one donation can make a life-saving difference.

Date: April 17
Location: Generation Church 960 Hwy 52 West – Portland
Time: 2pm to 730pm

We encourage everyone who is able to consider donating and helping us make this event a success.

Help Us Bring Hope This Holiday Season🎄🎁

Many families in our community are struggling—and together, we can make sure no one goes without.
The Portland Rotary Club is collecting food and monetary donations now through December 17, 2025. Every donation goes directly to Hands of Hope here in Portland.

How You Can Help
✨ Bring a donation to our Annual Christmas Ornament Painting Event on Main Street, Portland, TN on Saturday December 6, 2025 from 3pm-5pm
✨ Or drop off anytime at 901 S Broadway, Portland, TN 37148.
