🎷 What an unforgettable night! Tom and Marilyn Fink and friends experienced an incredible SMA live auction package this week — a private concert with acclaimed saxophonist Mike Phillips. Mike is the only musician to have recorded and toured with soul music’s legendary “Big Three” of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Prince, and has also performed at the inaugural balls of two U.S. Presidents.

While students are on summer adventures of their own, we’re throwing back to Spring Break — when a group of Blues trekked through Austria, Germany, and Switzerland studying music history on SMA’s Sound of Music tour, which takes place every three years. 🎶🏔️

🔆As Oregon's only all-girls school, we are thrilled to have hosted STEM Like a Girl summer camp at SMA!

The camp is all about empowering elementary-age girls to explore science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun, hands-on, and confidence-building environment. From experiments to engineering challenges, campers -- or perhaps tomorrow's scientists, coders, and innovators -- discovered just how exciting STEM can be! 🔬💻

Thank you, alumnae 🙌💙 Yesterday's second annual Vicki Dieringer Ford '69 Alumnae Service Project supporting women and children via Project Lemonade and Mother & Child Education Center saw record donations from alumnae from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s — both local and from out of town — and increases in EVERY category from last year:

Diapers: 8,870
Wipes: 13,116
Socks: 555 pairs
Backpacks: 77
Formula: 54

Julia F. '28 had never performed live until she took a leap and performed an original song at a St. Mary's open mic her freshman year — a night she calls "one of the best nights of my life." Fast forward to last month: She earned a spot in the local Battle of the Bands finals, performing as the lone soloist and the only student from a Catholic school in the competition. 🎹🎙
