🎨 Mazama creativity is on display this summer!

Four of our talented student photographers, Addy Pridemore, Adam Hato, Payton Gates, and Sydney Baker, are featured in NOURISH, a community photography exhibition presented by Underground Art Klamath Falls. Their work is part of an outdoor installation of 18 large-scale photos now up along the walking path fence behind Mazama High School.

Huge thanks to art teacher Hannah Morris for guiding these students through the project. The installation will be on display through the summer and into early fall, so swing by and check it out.

So proud of these young artists for sharing their talent with the community.

Today we're proud to recognize TWO outstanding alumni:

⭐ Kylee Matthews, Class of 2016
Kylee recently earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Fresno in 2025! Before that, she earned an Associate Degree from Fresno City College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Fresno State. As a first-generation college graduate, completing her MBA was a major milestone she's incredibly proud of. Kylee credits Mazama for providing the foundation and encouragement to pursue higher education and professional growth.

⭐ Alexa Martinez, Class of 2022
Mazama's Valedictorian and an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes, also of Northern Paiute and Mexican American descent, Alexa is graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and a minor in Chemistry. Go Ducks! As a pre-medical student, her next step is applying to medical school to pursue a career as a physician, with the goal of helping underserved and BIPOC communities through both care and advocacy.

Let's give it up for our ELA Superstars! 📚💙

We're celebrating our amazing juniors who rocked the Oregon State Assessment System ELA test by scoring a Level 3 or 4! Our students brought the brains, the hustle, and the Viking pride, and it showed!

Here's the best part: this year's junior class is on track to outperform last year's numbers AND beat the state proficiency rate! That's two years running of Vikings raising the bar! 📈

Huge shoutout to our unstoppable students AND our incredible ELA teachers who make the magic happen every day!
