Ever have a colleague who just... showed up, stepped up and helped everybody succeed? This , we want to shout out all the people who made last week's Girls Who Code camp at Husson University a big success! That includes Husson staff, who went above and beyond to make our campers comfortable, mentors and speakers from businesses across Maine, and our wonderful interns and facilitators:
Crystal, Ketsia, Dylan, Ella, Kieleigh, and Stella!

It really does take a village. We love ours!💚

Back-to-class started early for the Education Leaders Experience Omicron cohort! This newest edition of ELE held its opening retreat at Sugarloaf Mountain this week, preparing for a year of stellar experiences exploring Maine's economy. Getting-to-know you exercises, classwork and speakers, and a preview of the year ahead -- all in the beautiful mountains of Western Maine. It's all thanks to our partners at Unum, who created and fund ELE for the benefit of our state's educators, business owners and learners.

Did you know that many teachers like to go "back to class?" The annual Every Teacher a Leader conference provides that opportunity, in sessions ranging from the teaching of writing to diversifying curriculum. This year Educate Maine and the Teach Maine Center welcomed more than 150 Maine educators to the annual two-day conference just packed with learning opportunities. One teacher remarked, "This is the best professional development conference in Maine!"
She's not wrong. 😀
