I've made and exectutive decision, we're calling it Kindergarten Spirit Weeks! Let's welcome our cutest, smallest, and the newest WHE residents by wearing their colors next week. Each day they will be learning mauve and mauve about the color names, where we see them in daily life and the letter that spell those words. Obviously there will be lots of coloring! Let's celebrate our littles with color!

It was a perfect night for Ice Cream and Title I information. HUGE Thank You to First Baptist Church Hendersonville for bringing enough ice cream to feed our sweet WHE community! In true form, I took no pictures but played music from my phone. Thankfully, our fearless leader, Mrs. Gilman snapped a few. If you had pictures with your delicious Ice cream, post them below!

I'm so proud to work with the best team and honored to be your Title I Reading Specialist. Mrs. Sanders, Ms. Lathan, and I cannot wait for you all to see what all we have planned this year!

Badges will be delivered to students who attended Monday morning and a flyer/coloring page will be coming home Friday with info on Title I.

Please fill out the Free/Reduced lunch forms regardless of our free meals this year. This helps the state gauge our need and fund our school. Join us for The Annual Meeting and Ice Cream Social here at school August 20th 4:30-6! Come listen to Mrs. Freeman tell us all the amazing things Title I offers our school, visit with our staff and families, and have a FREE ice cream courtesy of Hendersonville First Baptist Church's Ice Cream Truck.

Flyers will be sent home this week. At the bottom of the flyer there is a slip we would be so grateful if you would fill out and return. It'll just give us a round about head count for how much one cream our truck will be bringing.

We hope to see you there!

Can't make it Thursday? An Alternative meeting will be MONDAY AUGUST 24th at 7:40 in the Title Room. Sorry no ice cream but there will be info and a powerpoint :)

The heart of our school starts before you even walk in the front door. They are some of the kindest, most helpful people you’ll ever meet! Whether they’re welcoming families, caring for students, supporting staff, or solving the hundredth unexpected problem of the day, they consistently go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels seen, supported, and cared for. They see the good, the bad, and the ugly… and yet, they still love us! Our custodians serve our students and staff with their whole hearts, working tirelessly behind the scenes to care for our school, lend a helping hand, and tackle things that no one else sees. We are so thankful for the people who not only take care of our building, but, take care of all of us, too. 💜🐾
