Ever wondered what is this golden statue on the Northeast César E. Chávez roundabout in Portland, OR?
Clue: Just as the roundabout, it is very French.
It is a statue of Joan of Arc, a French saint known to lead the French armies against an English invasion in 1429.

There is a statue of Jeanne d'Arc, a well-known French figure, on Laurelhurst's main roundabout.

🇫🇷PAR TOUTATIS! Le dessinateur d'Obelix et Asterix est mort hier (Mars 24) à l’âge de 92 ans.
Obelix et Asterix est une bande dessinée très connue qui a fait voyager plus d'un enfant avec sa potion magique qui te rend surpuissant et le petit chien Edifix plus loyal que jamais!
Ceci est une bien triste nouvelle. Il est mort dans son lit d'une crise cardique.

Obelix et Asterix is a very famous comic strip/graphic novel that made children dream of their magic potion making you more powerful than ever and cared for Edifix, their loyal dog!
It is a very saddening news. He was found dead in his bed. The death was caused by a heart attack.
