Cheverus High School Private college-preparatory school in the Jesuit tradition Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556).

Cheverus High School is a private, Catholic college-preparatory school which exists to educate the students of Southern Maine according to the 500-year old Jesuit tradition of excellence in education. The purpose and objectives in the school find their inspiration in the insights of the founder of the Jesuits, St. Ignatius' vision of the "magis" challenges the entire Cheverus community to seek the "greater good" and to embody this vision by becoming men and women for others.

Today, Tuesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 20 from 11 - 1 in the cafe. Come for 20 min or stay for the whole 2 hours -- whatever works with your schedule. You will thank yourself for the small investment of time! Oh - and snacks will be provided! See you there!

The Diocese of Portland is participating in the Faith Forward program by Newman Connection to ensure every graduating high school senior stays connected to a Catholic community after graduation. While the new turf field may look complete, it is not yet ready for use. We will let everyone know as soon as the facility is officially open. Until then, Shaw Brothers will continue working on the site, including cleanup, hydroseeding, and other final construction tasks. This means there will continue to be construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and work crews in the area, making it unsafe for anyone to be on or around the field.

We know everyone is excited to get out on the new turf—and we are too! However, please do not enter the turf facility until it has officially opened. We still have work to complete and educational information to share regarding proper use of the field.

We have waited many years for this project, and preserving it will be everyone's responsibility. Go Stags!
