My artwork is about my personal journey, which is as much influenced by my past as it is by my current choices. I have painted and written prose rather than journaling, as this allows me to keep my privacy. Naming the emotion and attaching all of my associated baggage that comes to mind, is much more freeing. It is also timeless. I still look at my past work and it brings up more thoughts from the
past, or relates to my present. I’m not afraid of criticism of my work; it is good enough. It captures a moment of truth for me. It makes no difference whether you like it or not. It simply is what it is. In fact, on any given day, I would throw a couple of them out. On other days I embrace them all. I prefer to share my work with those who have reached a level of consciousness where they do not judge what they see superficially. My hope is that others will use my work as a spark of enlightenment towards their own truths. Listen to your heart - take action to find and claim your true self. From my desire to help others, my art classes have evolved. I can help you with the tools I have learned, to journal through artwork. Please understand, I'm not a therapist.
