Please join the Reiche Green Team for our annual Spring Garden Clean-up Day!

Saturday, April 22nd, 9am-1pm
(rain date Sunday, April 23rd)

We will have coffee and donuts.
We have tools and some gloves, but you can also bring your own…and we are in need of extra wheelbarrows if you have one to share for the day!

We’ll be raking, weeding, tending the compost, pruning, and generally tidying up the gardens and raised beds for Spring and for our students’ garden classes. Hope to see you there!

Even though it's almost October, there's still quite a lot going on in the garden! These photos were all taken while we were there working this week.

We'll be having our annual Fall Clean-up Day on Sunday, October 23rd, from 10am to 3pm. More details to come.

It's been a long time since we made a Green Team post! We've been working to keep the gardens tidy and plan some upcoming projects. This spring we had our annual work day with volunteers from the United Way...the volunteers were from Unum and got SO much done! We moved many many yards of compost and mulch for the garden beds, and stone dust for the paths.

The green team spent time in the gardens over the summer, weeding, deadheading, and watering. It was so dry it seemed like we could never water enough. Thank goodness we've been getting more rain over the last month.

Now we're spending time weeding, cutting some things back, planning our upcoming fall cleanup day, along with some new projects to improve our school garden space.

Here are a few photos of the spring work day, the virginia creeper creeping into our garden shed, and some flowers from August...
