Just a quick reminder that if you want to get your flu and/or COVID vaccine right here at school, you need to sign up ahead of time. There will be NO day-of signups!

Deadline: Return your completed forms to the nurse's office by October 20th.

What to do: Grab a form from the nurse's office or check your Reach My Teach, make sure it is filled out completely with your insurance information and a signature, and turn it back in.

Please note the adjusted schedule and important details for Tuesday, October 13, to accommodate for conferences:
Tuesday Half-Day Schedule
Block 1: 8:20 AM
Block 2: 9:10 AM
Block 3: 10:00 AM
Block 4: 10:50 AM
Lunch: 11:40 AM

Last month, the main hall turned into a full-on comic book page as 9th through 12th grades took over the floor for Spirit week. Each class teamed up to map out and pull off an action hero theme that completely transformed the hallway.
It’s always fun to watch the classes dive into something this big and see how every grade comes together to make it happen. Moments like this show what happens when students team up for a massive group project, keeping our century-old school traditions alive with plenty of energy and friendly rivalry.

Deering High School offers over 40 co-curricular clubs spanning a diverse array of interests and activities, including the vibrant Grupo Latino. The school year kicked off with a wonderful celebration during Hispanic Heritage Month, highlighted by a special lunch welcoming new principal Mx. Ayala as a guest of honor.
Students and staff gathered together to share delicious traditional foods, featuring freshly made pupusas, homemade salsa prepared in a traditional molcajete, and authentic Ecuadorian ceviche. The lively afternoon also included engaging games and prizes, setting a welcoming and joyful tone for the start of the school year through food, fun, and community connection.
