Composer of the month: Xiaogang Ye (China, b. 1955). Give his music a listen with the kiddos, and ask questions: What season does this remind you of? What color seems to fit this part? How does this one make you feel? Does it remind you of any emotions you’ve had lately? And let them ask some questions back! Discussing and sharing art is one of the most valuable things we have in a complicated world.
