Looking for a side hustle? Do you like flexible hours? The First Church Nursery School is in need of a custodian for the upcoming school year. This job involves approximately 5 hours per week to be done before or after school hours, September through June. Duties involve daily cleaning of bathrooms, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, cleaning of table surfaces, and disinfection/deep cleaning during school vacations. To help the kids learn about Portland and what is in our town vs what they think is(ie, not the jump park or Disney) we grew our own little town! The kids planted grass seed and we watched them grow and develop roots. Then I took pictures of some of our favorite places and gave each child one to place in their planter. We talked about why we love them and what makes them important.
