I was reminded of a powerful tool today.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It was rainy outside, and I was grumpy and stressed about a project I’ve been working on.

I wanted a re-do. Ugh.

I called my fiancé to unload my stress. He listened patiently, and before responding he paused for a moment.

He finally said, “it’s okay to feel these feelings, but they’re just thoughts. they don’t have to mean anything unless you make them have meaning.”

Before hopping off the phone, he asked me something that flipped my whole day around…

“You’re bigger than the thoughts that are holding you back. Why don’t you write down 5 things that have gone well for you recently?”

And as I wrote out 5 things that I was grateful for, I felt those stressful feelings that were weighing me down evaporate.

I felt lighter. My shoulders relaxed, and I was instantly motivated to take on the rest of the day with gratitude leading the way.

Everything started going right for me after that.

I finished my project and was able to spend the evening relaxing with my loving Fiancé who coached me through the mindset that was holding me back.

- What are 5 things that have gone well for you recently?
- Write them on a small card and keep it with you in case you need a reminder.

Spring is here, so that means it’s time to put some Spring in your step and prepare yourself for the changing seasons.

What is a life detox?

A Life Detox is the process of limiting your interaction with unhealthy people & poor lifestyle habits that don’t serve you.

As seasons come and go, our energy levels and ways of being change and grow.

By conducting a seasonal life detox, you are making space for new opportunities and giving yourself “a fresh start”.

Stop feeling stuck or held back by habits and mindsets that leave you feeling drained.

Springtime brings growth. Take control of your life by focusing on what YOU need to water in your life garden to start feeling healthy, wealthy and carefree.

If you’re ready to take a deep dive into elevating/maximizing your life, schedule a free consultation with me by clicking the link in my bio.

Let me help you tackle those springtime goals. ✨

I can’t even begin to count the number of benefits that journaling brings to the table.

- increased emotional intelligence
- boosted mental health
- more self confidence
- a space to hold yourself accountable to your actions
- the ability to track and measure goals and successes

I could go on and on.

If you’re considering using a journal, I HIGHLY encourage it.

Not only will you see dramatic improvements in your mental clarity, but you are also opening space for you to talk honestly with yourself. And that is an underrated art form.

When you hear the words “show up for yourself”, what comes up for you?

For me, it means putting yourself first, listening to your intuition, and setting boundaries when you are feeling uneasy about certain situations.

For many Recovering People Pleasers (like myself), it can be easy to brush your needs under the rug and rush to the aid of others before facing our own problems.

When we put others first, we are trying to temporarily “buffer” through the setbacks we personally need to work through.

By taking on the energy of others, it leaves you little time and energy to face the difficult emotions or problems that you have going on in your life.

For this reason, I like to set a specific time each week to update my journal and check in with myself, see where I’m at, and see what I need to prioritize for myself in the next week to help me work through whatever set backs come up for me.

What does “showing up for yourself” look like to you?
