Tomorrow night, we have a *very important* question for you…

Join us **tomorrow from 5–8 PM** and treat yourself to a delicious snoball — because supporting our school has never tasted this cool! 😎🍧

A portion of sales goes **directly back to our school**, so grab the kids, call your friends, tell your neighbors, and honestly… order the extra dessert. We won’t judge. 😉

Now that we have survived the first week of school 😆we would like to introduce you to our board.

Meet our PTO Secretary, **Torey Emmert!** 📚🩺🍞🏈

Torey has been an RN for 15 years, so she’s basically a professional at keeping people alive, organized, and occasionally caffeinated. 😂 She’s been married to her husband, JD, for 17 years, and together they have two adorable kiddos, Aidric (5) and Remy (2). Aidric just started Kindergarten at Portland Gateview, so Torey is officially entering her *“How is my baby old enough for this?!”* era. 🥹💜

Originally from Jonesborough, TN, Torey and her family recently made the move to our community. Knowing approximately **zero people** made joining PTO an easy decision! She wanted to get involved in Aidric’s education, meet other parents, and be part of a community that believes in teamwork and supporting our teachers and students. 📝✂

When she’s not being a nurse, mom, wife, or PTO Secretary, you can find Torey reading, hanging with her book club, baking bread, canning, cheering on the **UT Vols** 🧡🏈, or making memories with her kids.

We’re so excited to have Torey on our PTO team and can’t wait for all the fun, friendships, and probably slightly chaotic moments this year! 😂

We hope everyone survived the first day back! 😜 We’re hoping the students had a **GREAT first day** and that the grown-ups remembered where they left their coffee. ☕😂

Now that we’re officially back in the swing of things, we’d LOVE for you to come hang out with us at our **first PTO meeting of the school year!** 💜

The countdown is almost over! We are so excited to welcome our PGE students back to school on Monday, August 10!

Thank you, PTO, for the amazing shirts our faculty and staff have!

Here are a few important reminders for PGE:
Doors Open: 6:45 AM
Students will need to be in their classrooms at 7:15 AM.

Parents may walk their children to the door on the first day only. Please adhere to safety guidelines and use the crosswalk only.

Kindergarten families may walk their child into the library to wait for the teacher during the phase-in week only.

We can't wait to see our hallways filled with smiling faces and kick off another amazing year of learning, growth, and memories.

🚨 **PTO MEMBERS NEEDED FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!** 🚨

Do you enjoy spreadsheets a little *too* much?
Have strong opinions about fonts, bulletin boards, or snack sign-ups?
Can you turn school news into a social media post people might actually read?

Perfect. We need you. 😂

We’re currently looking for a **Treasurer** (someone brave enough to hang out with numbers and budgets) and a **Social Media Director** (someone who knows the difference between a Reel and real life).

Whether you have lots of time or just enough time to occasionally reply “I can help!” before immediately regretting it, there’s a place for everyone. We need organized planners, creative thinkers, helping hands, hype people, and anyone willing to survive group chats and the occasional glitter emergency.

Being part of the PTO is a fun way to support our students, teachers, and school while making meaningful connections along the way. Plus, it’s a great excuse to drink coffee and call it “volunteering.” ☕

Interested or want to learn more? Come to our information meeting in the library at the school tomorrow, Tuesday the 26th, at 5:30 PM so we can get to know each other!

*No experience necessary. A sense of humor definitely helps.*

Stop the presses — Nurse Julie is officially our Chief Band‑Aid Wizard! 🩹✨

Yesterday she snagged the Nurse Excellence Award for her superhuman calm, endless compassion, and uncanny ability to find a missing ice pack in under 30 seconds. PGE is lucky to have our thermometer‑wielding hero — congrats, Nurse Julie! 🎉💜
