This week marks the final meet of the season for our SCIA Cross Country teams.

Both our boys and girls teams have been highly competitive all season, putting in the work and representing SCIA with pride.

CTE students took learning into the community with a visit to Stafford’s Chocolates here in Porterville. Students got a firsthand look at how a local business operates while learning about entrepreneurship, marketing, customer service, and the process behind creating locally made chocolates, coffee, and other treats.

August IB Students of the Month

We are proud to recognize our August IB Students of the Month, who exemplify the IB Learner Profile trait of Thinker. These students take time to consider their choices, approach challenges thoughtfully, and use creativity and critical thinking to solve problems. They don’t just jump to an answer, they take the time to think it through and make thoughtful decisions.

Nominated by SCIA faculty, our Thinker Bears show that great learning starts with curiosity, careful consideration, and a willingness to look at challenges from different perspectives. We are proud to celebrate these students and the thoughtful thinkers they are becoming! 🐻
