Every spring, something powerful happens right here at ENMU Portales, New Mexico. Hundreds of students from across Eastern New Mexico and West Texas gather at ENMU to celebrate language, culture, creativity, and community at the annual Festival Románico, and you don’t want to miss it.
Since its beginnings around 1980, Festival Románico has grown into the region's only event of its kind. What started as a celebration of Romance languages has evolved into a vibrant tribute to the Spanish language and the Hispanic community through artistic and performing arts competitions, cultural projects, and meaningful connections with ENMU.

Each year, middle and high school students participate in this cultural celebration organized by the ENMU Spanish Program and hosted by the ENMU Spanish Club. For many, it becomes a memory they carry for years, a moment when language comes alive, friendships are formed, and confidence grows on stage.
This is more than a competition.
This is culture.

This is community.

We offer free 30-minute tutoring sessions in:
-Spanish
-French
-English as a Second Language (ESL)
-Italian

Tutoring is available in person or online via Microsoft Teams, giving you the flexibility to learn in the way that works best for you.
Our friendly tutors are ENMU students who are passionate about helping others succeed.
