The “Oscar of Teaching” looks great in Green and Silver. 💚

A huge congratulations to Montana Hagler (BS 20) for being named New Mexico’s sole recipient of the National Milken Educator Award for 2025-26! If you know Montana, you know this is beyond deserved. Since she began teaching at Lovington High School, she has become the backbone of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. Whether she’s leading the Future Farmers of America (FFA) to new heights or acting as the lead instructor for the Plant Systems Pathway, she is constantly sowing seeds of leadership in her students.

From her innovative “flipped classroom” model to hands-on work in the greenhouse and lab, she is empowering her students to create their own paths to success.

Awarded based on an educator’s excellence and promise for the future, the Milken Award is a testament to the profound influence of a dedicated teacher. We love seeing our ENMU alumni out there doing great work and receiving the recognition they deserve.

Congrats, Montana. The Lovington Wildcats are lucky to have you, and the Greyhounds at ENMU are so proud that you’re one of ours. 🙌
