I get asked all the time what the difference is between semi, demi, and permanent color, so I thought I’d break it down a little.

✨ Semi-Permanent Color
This is great if you want to try something different without a huge commitment. It coats the hair and gradually fades out over several washes. I love it for refreshing color or adding fun tones.

✨ Demi-Permanent Color
Probably one of my favorite options for a lot of clients. It adds color and shine without the commitment of permanent color. It’s great for toning blondes, blending gray, darkening hair, or refreshing faded color. It fades softer and doesn’t leave a harsh line of grow out.

✨ Permanent Color
This is the best choice when you need gray coverage, want to lighten your natural color, or you’re looking for a longer-lasting result. Since it changes the natural hair, you’ll need regular touch-ups as your hair grows.

There really isn’t a “best” option. The right choice depends on your hair goals, how much maintenance you want, and the condition of your hair.
