Just a reminder about summer soccer workouts. If you are 5th-12th grade at PCS, please plan on being at the school soccer fields tomorrow, Monday from 3-5 in the afternoon. Join the fun and keep in shape over the summer! (Other weekly practice times are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-11 am.) see you there!!

The high school practice for this evening(Thursday 6-4-26) is Cancelled due to a number of girls on the 8th grade trip and church camp. High school practice will resume next week

The Middle school(incoming 5th-8th grade) practice IS STILL happening tonight as scheduled 5:00pm-6:30pm

Portage Christian School Summer Soccer Practices

Who is Invited for PCS Soccer During the Summer?
Your middle school and high school student, whether a guy or a gal, is invited to start participating in this year’s soccer season.
Younger players are invited to practice with middle school and high school players. The coaches are working with PCS Administration to see if younger players meet certain conditions can play games also.

What Does Your Student Need for PCS Soccer During the Summer?
Basic soccer attire such as running shoes, soccer cleats, soccer socks, shin pads, shorts, and t-shirt.
Water bottle
PCS requires sport physicals before the first game of the season.
PCS requires a sports fee that needs to be paid at their designated time.

Where will PCS Soccer Practices be Located During the Summer?
Students are asked to meet at Portage Christian School and will be using the practice field. Note: The practice field can be located on the south side of the gym.

When are PCS Soccer Practices Conducted During the Summer?
Practices will be conducted in three different periods.
June 2nd to 18th practices will be held 2 times a week on every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
June 22nd – July 9th practices will be held 4 times a week.
Monday practices held from 3 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
July 13th to the 1st game of the year, practices will be held 5 times a week.
Mondays and Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Note:
Note: Fridays will be used for a fun team building event.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
PCS players have approximately 10 weeks until their first game.

Why are We Asking PCS Students to Practice During the Summer?
PCS would like to provide a safe and encouraging environment for students to learn biblical life building skills which will be taught through the game of soccer.
The goal of summer practices is to get players conditioned for playing soccer and to help them build basic soccer skills individually and as a team.
