Sometimes karate can feel really hard—not just physically, but mentally too.

Sometimes, when you’re practicing on your own and the journey feels tough, you just need a “sister” beside you. Someone to encourage you, push you, laugh with you, and remind you that you don’t have to do it alone. 🥋❤️

One of the things we love most about our karate family is seeing our students show up for one another. Whether it’s helping with a technique, cheering someone on, or simply being there when they need a little extra support, that’s what being part of a team is all about.

We don’t just train together—we grow together. 💪

Keep showing up for each other. You never know when someone might need their “sister” too. 🥋❤️

🥋 Monday was a busy one at Karate America Portage!

Our 1st Degree Black Belts tested out of their block—a big step forward in their continued Black Belt journey! 🥋💪

We also had the privilege of welcoming two new White Belts to the dojo! 🎉

A lot of hard work, determination, and perseverance went into this Monday. We are incredibly proud of everyone who continues to show up, put in the work, and Level Up! 👊

Congratulations to all of our students! 🥋👏

These testers gave it EVERYTHING they had! So much sweat, hard work, and dedication went into these tests that one person's uniform and our mats are definitely in need of a good scrub-down! 😂🧼

Awesome job to all our testers! We are so proud of the effort, determination, and perseverance you showed. Keep pushing, keep growing, and keep leveling up!

These pictures are from our Fall 2023 tournament! 🥋

Look how far these two students have come! One is now almost a Brown Belt, while the other is preparing to attend Candidate Training in the near future.

We are so proud of their growth, dedication, and perseverance. It’s amazing to look back and see how far their martial arts journeys have taken them. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of them! ❤️

After a busy tournament weekend, we’re taking today for some much-needed post-tournament recovery! 🥋💪

🎉 Congratulations to all of our competitors! We are incredibly proud of everyone who stepped onto the floor, gave it their all, and showed great sportsmanship.

🏆 Bring in your trophies and medals! We would love to display them on our trophy shelf or medal display so everyone can see and celebrate your amazing efforts and accomplishments!

👏 A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our volunteers! Our tournament simply could not happen without you. From setup, concessions and scorekeeping to cleanup and everything in between, we appreciate every minute you gave to help make the tournament a success!

There will be no regular classes today.
🥋Our previously scheduled private group lesson will still take place as planned.

Thank you for understanding, and we’ll see everyone back in class Wednesday! 🥋
