I am literally in tears and my heart is torn into a thousand pieces right now . Sadly after 35 years of child care , 28 in my home , I had to give notice to childcare parents that as of June 1 i will no longer be providing childcare due to continuing pain and issues with my back . This job is literally my life . I dont know what i am going to do without my kids . The Hugs that gave me energy to keep going through the days . The random " I Love you Miss Tami" that made my heart grow a little bit bigger and warmed it . The pictures that they would draw for me will all be treasured for years to come.
This is not a job for the weak . You are literally raising multiple little human beings at once , all with different personalities . There would be nights after work I would literally cry because I felt I had failed them that day, or that I thought I couldn't go on as I did not have the answers to help fix them . Some days I wanted to just give up as I felt I was not doing a good enough job. But when that first child walked in , in the morning and smiled and hugged me , it reminded me why I continued and loved this job. .

When I would get into my car some nights to go somewhere and automatically with Bluetooth the Minions songs , the nursery ryhmes would automatically start playing.
I could list so many more benefits of this job that made up for the rough moments . But in the end , these tiny humans all have / had / and will forever have my ❤️💔😢
Thank you to all the parents who entrusted me with the care of their child/ Grandchild . You all hold a special place in my also ,
