Portage Township Education Foundation The PTEF engages the community in fund raising efforts supporting grant programs that directly impact

The Foundation is governed by a 16-member, all volunteer, Board of Directors. Each member serves on at least one of the Foundation's standing committees that currently include Finance, Marketing, Grants, and Events. In order to accomplish our mission to engage the Portage Township community in support of educational innovations that improve student achievement, we have developed the following objectives:
• to create and maintain a marketing campaign designed to stimulate community awareness of PTEF's mission and foster its support

• to develop a funding plan that will bridge the gap between the tax dollars provided for essential educational needs and the funds necessary for our students to achieve academic excellence

• to encourage and support the creativity and innovations of our educational community

• to recognize and reward educational excellence

We hope everyone is settling in and off to the start of a great school year…after the delay! If you are curious about PTEF, ever wanted to be an active community member supporting staff and students of PTS, consider joining our foundation. We meet the second Tuesday of every month at 5:00 pm. We are currently seeking board members to assist in our mission. Please message us here, email us at [email protected] or ask any board member for details. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

📣PHOTO DUMP 1 OF 2!

We were so excited to see everyone who came out to our Harlem Wizards fundraiser last week, and these photos show how much fun the evening was to hundreds of local families! We have to send a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers and groups that helped make it possible like the Portage JROTC, Honor Society, Girls Basketball team, all of the Portage Township School Corporation staff, and of course, our sponsors!

All proceeds from the evening benefit the PTEF and help us support educational innovations that improve student achievement both in and out of the classroom.
