It was wonderful to welcome our WoodsEdge families back for Open House! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us to meet teachers, learn about classroom goals, celebrate learner progress, and hear about all of the exciting experiences planned for the year ahead. Strong partnerships between home and school help create the best possible learning environment for our students, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with families.

🍂🎃 Our annual Fall Festival was a pumpkin-filled success!

Our learners had so much fun exploring pumpkin guts and seeds, digging into sensory tables filled with birdseed and corn, and creating festive pumpkin-themed artwork. From messy discoveries to creative masterpieces, every activity encouraged curiosity, exploration, and smiles all around.

National Principals Month Spotlight: Meghan Haas

For 23 years, Meghan Haas has dedicated her career to KRESA learners, beginning as a special education teacher and now serving in her fourth year as principal of Valley Center School. Her favorite part of being a principal is creating an environment where students, families, and staff feel a true sense of belonging.

Her message to the Valley Center community is simple and powerful: Keep believing in what’s possible. By working together and providing the right support, students can reach goals they once thought were out of reach.

Every year, our Head Start learners receive free hearing and vision screenings to help identify any concerns early and support their success in the classroom and beyond.

We're grateful for our partnership with Kalamazoo County Health Department, which helps make these important screenings possible for our families. By working together, we can connect children with the resources they need and help ensure they are ready to learn, grow, and thrive. ❤️
