We were founded in September of 1960 as a member congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. We are honored to have you worship the Lord with us at any time and we pray that you would always find our congregation to be welcoming and Spiritually uplifting.

Immediate Opening: St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage is seeking someone to manage its finances (a part-time job) or to manage its overall business including facilities (a full-time job). It involves hands-on processing of journal entries, paying invoices, maintaining the general ledger, and creating reports to share with the other managers. The pews are padded this week thanks to the quilting group. We will sing, worship, pray, hear a Bible-based message and recognize the many volunteers supporting the ministry of the Lord. We would love to welcome you to St. Michael!
