While everyone is welcome and encouraged to comment, our first priority is to protect students, staff and community members. Comments and/or posts that do not follow this commenting guideline may be removed. The PCSD reserves the right to delete or mark as spam any and all comments as we deem necessary. PCSD may also block access to anyone from posting to any of the PCSD social media sites. We do not accept cyberbullying and/or posts or comments that are discriminatory, political, racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, contain falsehoods or are wildly off-topic, or that libel, incite, threaten or make ad hominem attacks on students, employees, guests or other individuals. Who's ready for Friday night lights?!?
PHS's first official football practice was this past Tuesday and we were there as the athletes and coaches were running through some drills ~
Looking forward to the upcoming fall sports season - for not only football but all of our athletic teams!

The Portage Community School District has been notified by the City of Portage that construction work at the intersections of New Pinery and East Slifer Street and New Pinery and Collins Street is scheduled to begin next week (August 10, 2026). Their notification to us is as follows:
"Beginning next week, work will begin on the City's Signals Upgrade project at the Collins Street and Slifer Street intersections on New Pinery Road. Work will include the replacement of all traffic signal lighting and equipment in the referenced intersections. During construction, temporary signals will be placed as not to impede traffic flow. No long term road closures are anticipated for this project."
Please take extra care at these intersections during the project work.
El Distrito Escolar Comunitario de Portage ha recibido una notificaci贸n de la Ciudad de Portage informando que la pr贸xima semana (10 de agosto de 2026) comenzar谩n las obras de construcci贸n en las intersecciones de New Pinery con East Slifer Street y de New Pinery con Collins Street. El aviso que recibimos es el siguiente:
"A partir de la pr贸xima semana, se iniciar谩n los trabajos del proyecto municipal de actualizaci贸n de sem谩foros en las intersecciones de Collins Street y Slifer Street con New Pinery Road. Las obras incluir谩n la sustituci贸n de toda la iluminaci贸n y el equipo de los sem谩foros en dichas intersecciones. Durante la construcci贸n, se instalar谩n sem谩foros provisionales para no obstaculizar el flujo vehicular. No se prev茅n cierres de carreteras a largo plazo para este proyecto".
Por favor, extreme las precauciones al transitar por estas intersecciones mientras se llevan a cabo los trabajos.
