Curious Kids Portage Public Schools Early Childhood Programming offers comprehensive preschool options for children in our community for the 26-27 school year.

Programming includes Full Day 3 Year Old Preschool Classes and Full Day 4 Year Old GSRP Classes. We have full day three year old Preschool Programming and full day four Year Old- GSRP Preschool Programming available 5 days a week utilizing Creative Curriculum.

Hello Early Childhood Families,

Our families who participate in the GSRP program have been getting their phone calls from their teachers and started their home visits this week. We will continue home visits next week as well. The buzz and excitement of the students and families getting to meet their teacher and starting school soon has been so exciting for all of us here!

Next week our teachers will be deep in their classroom set up, professional development training and curriculum planning so we will be ready to see you all on Monday, August 31st for our first day of school!

Reminder, our first day of school is a half day and dismissal is at 12:00pm.

Next week is also our Open House for all of our enrolled families to meet their teachers, see the classroom, check out the bus, meet our new School Resource Officer and most importantly check out the playground! I attached the flyer below. We can't wait to see you all soon!

Join us for the Portage Public Schools Enrollment Event!

Need help enrolling your student for the 2026–27 school year? Stop by on Thursday, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Portage Central High School Commons. Our staff will be available to assist families through the enrollment process and answer any questions.

Families can also enjoy free food, giveaways, school bus tours, and information from community partners. Human Resources staff will be on-site to share employment opportunities with Portage Public Schools.

Please bring:
• Parent/Guardian photo ID (and proof of guardianship, if applicable)
• Birth certificate
• Proof of residency
• Immunization records (or an approved waiver)
• Current high school transcript (for high school students)

Please note: Due to construction on South Westnedge Avenue, visitors should park on the north side of Portage Central High School and follow the signs around the building to the event entrance.

We look forward to helping your family get ready for a successful school year!
