Stop by the Portage Central High School Commons today, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our staff will be available to assist families through the enrollment process and answer any questions.

Families can also enjoy free food, giveaways, school bus tours, and information from community partners. Human Resources staff will be on-site to share employment opportunities with Portage Public Schools.

Please bring:
• Parent/Guardian photo ID (and proof of guardianship, if applicable)
• Birth certificate
• Proof of residency
• Immunization records (or an approved waiver)
• Current high school transcript (for high school students)

Please note: Due to construction on South Westnedge Avenue, visitors should park on the north side of Portage Central High School and follow the signs around the building to the event entrance.

It's happening today! Join the City of Portage Public Safety teams for Pig Out at Public Safety for an afternoon of family fun before the new school year begins.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of Summer School!

Today, our middle school students gathered for the Summer School Share Fair, where they had the opportunity to showcase the projects, experiences, and skills they developed throughout the program. It was a great chance to celebrate their hard work, creativity, and growth alongside classmates, teachers, and families.

A special thank you to our dedicated summer school staff for creating a welcoming environment where students could continue learning, exploring, and building confidence all summer long. We hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer, and we look forward to seeing our students back in our schools this fall!

What a great way to wrap up Summer School!

Today, our elementary students came together for the Summer School Share Fair, celebrating everything they learned, created, and accomplished over the past several weeks. From creative projects to hands-on activities, it was a wonderful opportunity for students to share their hard work with classmates, teachers, and families.

Thank you to our incredible summer school staff for making learning engaging, meaningful, and fun all summer long. We hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the summer, we can’t wait to welcome our students back for another amazing school year!

Summer learning is in full swing at Portage Public Schools!

Our Secondary English Learners (Grades 5–10) have been staying engaged through hands-on projects and friendly competition. Students put their creativity to work by designing unique creations from recycled materials as part of a sustainability project, tested their engineering skills in a tallest tower challenge, and wrapped up an exciting chess tournament, with the final match played "Harry Potter-style" using human chess pieces (minus the magic and mayhem! )

Learning doesn't stop when school is out, and we're proud of the creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving our students are demonstrating all summer long!
