We polled the Portage Northern High School
Class of 2026 to find out who their favorite teachers were and why. The results will be published in the senior magazine, but after we tabulated everything, we gave all of the staff that were nominated their slips with what students wrote about them as a surprise during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Thank you to all of the teachers who support the us, let us interview students in your classroom, reply to our emails when you’re already very busy, read our articles, and recommend new staff members to us. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

This week, Becky Savage, who lost two of her sons to accidental overdose, came to NHS to speak on behalf of her organization, The 525 Foundation, to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and prescription drug misuse and abuse.
