MEET MISS JEN!✨
You may know her as Miss Jen… or some lovingly call her, Boss(y)! 😂 But there’s so much more behind the woman who leads IMPACT Performing Arts Center.
Miss Jen has been dancing since she was 4 years old, nearly 40 years! She started teaching at 16, studied dance at Columbia College Chicago, and was a member of Milwaukee Dance Connection, now Atlanta Dance Connection.
Today, she’s the proud owner and director of IMPACT Performing Arts Center, entering its 21st season! 🎉
For Miss Jen, IMPACT is so much more than a dance studio, it’s her safe place. A place to be creative, share her passion, and make a positive impact on the kids and families in her community. That’s where the name IMPACT came from: creating a place where she could be a positive role model while giving back to one of her favorite places, Port Washington.
And if you know Miss Jen, you know she’s wherever her dancers are. 🫶🏼 Parades, performances, competitions, studio classes, and everything in between, she’s there. Supporting, loving, encouraging, and guiding them through their journey, both on and off the dance floor.
Her favorite style is contemporary, and this season you’ll find her teaching Acro, TLC, and Competition Team classes at all levels.
When she’s not at the studio, you’ll probably find her surrounded by her ever-growing collection of plants. 🪴😂 She admits she has a slight plant obsession, so many that she’s lost count! And naturally, her favorite color is green. 🌱
After 40 years of dancing, decades of teaching, and 21 seasons of IMPACT, Miss Jen continues to pour her heart into creating a place where dancers can grow, build confidence, find their people, and make memories that last a lifetime.
We are so lucky to have her leading our IMPACT family and even luckier that wherever our dancers go, Miss Jen is right there cheering them on.
