It was a beautiful last day at Mimi’s Montessori as its fourth year came to an end. We loved hearing from the students as they identified continents, defined vertebrates and invertebrates, sang about the life cycle of a plant, and explained how the earth is made of land, air, and water.

Parents enjoyed delicious homemade lemonade and snacks while exploring the classroom alongside their students. The morning ended with our attempt to release the butterflies… unfortunately, the cold weather did not encourage our little friends to spread their wings just yet! So, we gave them a cozy home on the tree until they are ready.

Another year of instruction has come to an end at Mimi’s Montessori — a beautiful place to grow! 🦋🌎🌱

One of our favorite Mimi’s Montessori traditions each year is raising monarch caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies before releasing them on the last day of school. 🦋

The students have loved checking on them each day and watching the incredible changes happen up close. And now, three butterflies have officially emerged from their cocoons! Such an exciting moment in the classroom and a beautiful reminder of God’s amazing creation.
