You don’t need marathon workouts to build serious strength.

One of the most useful training concepts I’ve used over my training and coaching career is the Big 6, an incredibly efficient strength workout for the time leveraged.

Six fundamental movement patterns. A full body workout. Twenty minutes or less.

There are many variations on this sequence, but the principle remains the same: workouts do not need to be lengthy or time consuming to be effective, BUT they need to be intense.

I break down the Big 6, how I’ve used it throughout my own training career, and how I’ve adapted it for clients in my newest blog.

Yesterday’s seminar at VLNK Academy here in Idaho. 🤙

Always an honor to step onto the mats with a community of men and women committed to learning, discipline, movement, and the art of jiu-jitsu.

And there’s something especially powerful about having the little ones in these spaces, too.

They’re watching. They’re absorbing. They’re growing up around real skills, capable bodies, discipline, respect, humility, and people willing to challenge themselves and keep learning.

Long before they understand the technique, they understand the energy of the room.
