The Brass Screw Confederacy's Steampunk festival this past weekend saw the maiden voyage of the Airship Trooper Proving Grounds, which involved training in the skills required to pass muster in the 21st Regiment LiTA (Lighter Than Air) Dragoons. Cutlass, Bayonet, and of course, Tea Dueling (in which our instructor, Nathan, naturally took the prize). In the end, participants were given the Brass Screw Confederacy's one and only "Proven" medal designed by Charles Allen. A small but mighty beginning. Thank you to Mr. Barnett, for leading the training and allowing his students to give the rookies a taste of the cutlass experience!

Greetings and thank you for checking out the new page. The fencing club teaches historical fencing as a martial art and is accepting new students starting early May.

Historical fencing looks at swordplay as a mix of physical conditioning, historical scholarship, and self-defense - but the real benefits are the skills and abilities developed in practicing ancient martial arts and how they can inform our daily lives. Honor, strength, balance and control. If you are interested, please message for details about getting started. No experience or equipment needed. Classes weekly.
