Here’s how we approach learning at Summit:

We do not offer a full, traditional curriculum, especially for students transferring from public or private school. Summit is a learning center, designed to support and enrich each student’s education.

For students attending full time, we provide at least two hours per week in each subject area, including:
• Math
• Reading
• Writing
• Astronomy
• History
• Art
• Plus additional project-based science on Fridays

In the homeschool world, families have the freedom to decide how much learning works best for their child. Parents may choose to supplement at home as needed, and we are here to support that journey—not replace it.

Our goal is to partner with families by providing meaningful instruction, hands-on learning, and a supportive community while honoring the flexibility that homeschooling allows.

What Makes Summit Different? ✨

At Summit Homeschool Academy, we do things differently—and families love it!

• We are a learning center, not a traditional school
• Students are encouraged to learn at their own pace—no pressure, no one left behind
• We offer small group instruction with no more than 10 students per class
• We believe learning should be engaging, hands-on, and FUN!

At Summit, your child isn’t just another student—they’re part of a community where they are seen, supported, and inspired every day 💙

We’re excited to have Mr. Marcus continuing to grow with the Summit family! Over the past year, he has shared his passion for photography with our middle school students and has been instrumental in helping us launch Cub Scouts. His creativity, leadership, and dedication to our students have made a lasting impact.

This year, Mr. Marcus is taking on an exciting new role as our Friday Robotics STEAM teacher for high school students! He is looking forward to helping students explore technology, problem-solving, engineering, and innovation through hands-on robotics experiences. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our high schoolers will create and learn under his guidance! 🤖🚀💙

🎵 Meet Miss Sunny! 🎵

Miss Sunny is an amazing singer, guitarist, and pianist who brings her love of music to life for our students on Scholar B days. She has a wonderful way of making music fun, engaging, and inspiring for children of all ages. We are also excited that she will be joining us as one of our STEAM teachers next year! Her creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for teaching make her a wonderful addition to our team. We love having Miss Sunny at Summit and know our students do too! 💙🎶✨

👑 Meet Miss Christina – Our Middle School Queen Bee! 👑

Miss Christina is truly the heart of our middle school program! She has an incredible gift for connecting with students, creating a classroom where they feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. Her students adore her, and year after year our middle school program continues to grow because families love the experience she provides.

For next year, Miss Christina is planned to teach our 6th–8th graders. However, with Summit continuing to grow, we may need to add another middle school teacher to keep up with enrollment! No matter what, we’re so thankful for Miss Christina and the positive impact she makes on our students every day. 💛📚🐝

Miss Jenn Gallo comes highly recommended, and we’re thrilled to have her teaching our 5th graders this year!

With degrees in English, Anthropology/Sociology, and a Master’s in Library and Information Science, Miss Jenn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Summit. She has worked in public and university libraries, taught students in grades 3rd–6th at St. Andrew’s School, and spent four years tutoring a student all the way through high school and earning his AA degree.

We know our students will love learning from her, and we can’t wait to see the impact she makes at Summit! 📚🍎💙

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Miss Patti 🌟

Miss Patti is one of the sweetest, gentlest people you’ll ever meet—but don’t let that fool you, because she’s also an incredibly fun and interactive teacher!

Before entering the education world, Miss Patti worked as a nurse and later as a case manager supporting students with special needs. After homeschooling her own children for most of their lives, she discovered a passion for teaching and hasn’t looked back!

Miss Patti loves making learning exciting through hands-on activities, creative projects, and engaging crafts. This year, she served as one of our STEAM teachers, and we’re thrilled that she’ll be stepping into our 4th-grade classroom next year!

If you know Miss Patti, you also know she has another amazing talent—she’s an incredible cook! During our Holidays Around the World celebration, she made homemade pasta and meatballs for everyone. The meal was such a hit that many students came back for seconds… and even thirds! 🍝❤️

We are so thankful to have Miss Patti as part of the Summit family and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she’ll do with our 4th graders next year! 💙📚✨

Miss Marybeth is one of the kindest souls we know! She has been a teacher for over 20 years and brings an incredible amount of experience, wisdom, and love to our Summit family.

Before joining Summit, she taught locally at Jensen Beach Elementary and later worked with other homeschool learning centers after retiring. However, retirement just wasn’t for her—she missed the kids too much! We are so thankful that she chose to continue doing what she loves with us.

Miss Marybeth has been with Summit since the very beginning and has played a huge role in helping us grow. In addition to teaching, she plans all of our STEAM lessons, creating engaging, hands-on experiences that our students look forward to each week.

One of the many things we appreciate about Miss Marybeth is her dependability. She hasn’t even taken a sick day! Her dedication to her students and commitment to Summit are truly remarkable.

We are beyond grateful for her servant’s heart, positive attitude, wealth of knowledge, and unwavering support. Summit simply wouldn’t be the same without her!

Thank you, Miss Marybeth, for all you do for our students, families, and staff. We love having you as part of the Summit family! ❤️

Looking for a fun, hip, and loving teacher for your little learner? That’s Miss Brandy! 💕✨

She knows how to make learning exciting, engaging, and full of creativity — all while helping students learn the importance of following rules and showing kindness to others. Her students absolutely adore her, and so do our Summit families!

We are so excited that next year Miss Brandy will be moving up with her kindergarten class into 1st grade! 📚🍎 This gives her another special year to continue building strong relationships with her students and helping them grow, learn, and flourish both academically and socially. Miss Brandy also teaches Art and STEAM!

We are beyond thankful to have her as part of the Summit family! 💛
