Osceola Magnet families,

We're getting ready for five weeks of STEM! This fall, Club SciKidz is bringing two hands-on science adventures to Osceola:

🕵️ CSI & Forensics | Grades 5–7
Students will step into the role of investigators as they examine evidence, conduct forensic tests, and use science to help solve a mystery.

🪨 Geology Rocks & Fossils | Grades 3–5
Young geologists will investigate rocks, minerals, and fossils through hands-on activities and take-home discoveries along the way.

Both programs meet Mondays from 2:50–3:50 p.m. for five weeks, beginning September 28. $125 for the 5-week program. Registration is open now. Please register by September 21.

Science is back in session! Club SciKidz is bringing more hands-on STEM opportunities to local families this fall!

Osceola Magnet School: Students can investigate CSI & Forensics for grades 6–7 or explore Geology Rocks & Fossils for grades 3–5.

Windmill Point Elementary & St. Lucie West K-8: Geology Rocks & Fossils is coming to both schools for students in grades 1–5.

Homeschool families: September's Messy Science is coming to Stuart! Expect hands-on science, plenty of experimenting, and the best part for parents...we clean up the mess.

Messy Science was created with our homeschool community in mind, but if space is available, non-homeschool families are welcome to join us too.

Know a family at one of these schools or a family looking for hands-on STEM? Please share this with them!

What can a rock tell you? More than you might think. 🔎

Kids become geologists as they investigate rocks, minerals, magnetism, fossils and clues from Earth's past through hands-on STEM activities.

Geology Rocks & Fossils is a 5-week afterschool STEM adventure designed for curious elementary students who love to dig in, investigate and discover.

🔎 What if afterschool wasn't just something to keep kids busy? In Club SciKidz CSI Forensics, students become the investigators. Over five weeks, they'll examine evidence, analyze clues, question what they think they know and work together to solve one unfolding mystery. Five weeks. One mystery. Can they solve the case?

CSI Forensics is designed for grades 6–8 and can be brought to schools and organizations throughout the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches.

Today we're celebrating the people who build our world...and the curious kids who will build what's next. 💜

At Club SciKidz, we're lucky to spend our days watching kids create, experiment, problem-solve, make mistakes, try again, and discover just how much they're capable of. Behind those curious kids are parents and families who make those opportunities possible.

To the workers, the dreamers, the builders, the parents, and our future scientists, engineers, creators, and problem-solvers, Happy Labor Day from Club SciKidz! 🔬💡

What if after school wasn't just about filling the time between the final bell and dinner? 🔬🤖🚀 What if it were time to build, experiment, create, problem-solve and discover something new? That's what afterschool can look like with Club SciKidz.

Our hands-on STEM programs give kids opportunities to explore science and technology through experiences that go beyond the ordinary and give them something exciting to talk about on the ride home.

Because sometimes the best question at pickup isn't, What did you learn today?”
It's…"Wait—you got to do WHAT?!” 😄 Interested in bringing Club SciKidz to your child's school? We'd love to hear from you.

Some kids find their thing on a soccer field. ⚽ Some find it while building a robot. 🤖 And some happily do both.

One day they're scoring a goal. Another day they're building a roller coaster, programming a robot, designing a structure, or experimenting with something they've never tried before. Because kids don't have to be just one thing.

They can be athletes and engineers. Artists and scientists. Gamers, builders, readers, dancers, creators, and whatever else sparks their curiosity. Giving kids opportunities to explore helps them discover not only what they're good at, but what they love.

At Club SciKidz, that's what we want STEM to be: a chance to build, create, explore, problem-solve, and discover something new. You never know which experience will become their next thing.

Summer camp may be over…but the experiments continue! ✨

Does your child constantly ask why? Love building things just to see if they'll work? Get excited about experiments, robots, Minecraft, animals, space or anything that lets them discover something new? We love those kids. ❤️

Club SciKidz doesn't disappear when summer camp ends! Throughout the school year, you'll find us bringing hands-on STEM to kids through afterschool programs, homeschool opportunities, workshops, special events, field trips, birthday parties and more.

Some opportunities are offered at specific schools or locations, while others are open to families throughout the Treasure Coast & Palm Beaches.

It took me a few weeks after camp ended to reflect on this summer. Summer camp moves fast. Sometimes you're so busy making sure the next experiment is ready, keeping campers engaged, and keeping everything on track that you don't have much time to appreciate everything happening around you.

Now that I've had a little time, one thing stands out: the people. ❤️ Our staff did so much more than lead experiments & activities. They encouraged kids who weren't quite sure they could do it, celebrated experiments that finally worked, answered approximately a million questions, cleaned up messes, carried supplies, made kids laugh, solved problems on the fly & came back ready to do it again the next day.

Somewhere in all of that, they created the little moments kids remember long after camp ends. To our entire Club SciKidz team: thank you for your energy, patience, flexibility, creativity & most of all, for caring about our campers.

A special thank you to two people who did so much behind the scenes.

Jane first came to Club SciKidz as a camp grandparent and somehow became part of our team. ❤️ She spent countless hours preparing & organizing to make sure our campers had everything they needed.

Anthony, my husband & partner in all of this, worked alongside me throughout the summer--right up until it was time for him to head back to school. He packed, carried, fixed, delivered, problem-solved & stepped in wherever he was needed. Club SciKidz is something we've built together, and I couldn't do what I do without him.

I hope our team looks at these pictures and knows how much I appreciate what each of them brought to Club SciKidz this summer. The experiments were pretty awesome. But the people made the summer. ❤️🔬

They came for the science. But they took home so much more. This summer, our campers built robots, investigated mysteries, experimented with chemistry, explored weather, engineered solutions, created, coded, designed, and occasionally made some wonderfully unexpected messes.

But when we think back on the summer, some of our favorite moments weren't necessarily the experiments themselves. They were the moments around them.
A camper encouraging a new friend who needed help. A child who arrived quiet and unsure, but left camp exchanging phone numbers with new friends. Campers figuring out how to work through disagreements and keep creating together. A young engineer looking at something he'd already built and telling us he wasn't finished yet, because he already knew how he wanted to make it better.

Kids discovering something they were good at. Others discovering that they could do something they weren't sure they could do. And plenty of moments when an experiment, design, or idea didn't work the first time and they tried something else.
Those are the things that are harder to capture in a photograph.

We absolutely want kids to leave Club SciKidz knowing more about science, technology, engineering and the world around them. But we also hope they leave a little more curious. A little more confident. A little more willing to ask questions, solve problems, help someone else, and try again.

They came for the science. We hope they took home so much more.
