The Academy FL The Academy FL is a specialized Accredited School for Children with Dyslexia, ADHD, and Non-Traditional Learners. In our Port St.

Lucie location, we serve students in-person with individual and small group instruction. It is our belief that every child has a GREATNESS to be discovered and cultivated. We focus on helping children understand that they each have a unique life path that leads them to their individual GREATNESS. The following 5 Paths are part of The Academy Way:

Path 1) a structured literacy approach,
Path 2)

interactive and multi-sensory teaching,
Path 3) real-life learning,
Path 4) an entrepreneurship experience, and
Path 5) a socially-emotional nurturing environment. The Academy WAY is the WAY we do school. We provide a research-proven structured-literacy program that addresses our students’ literacy challenges, engages them in teaching approaches that embraces and enhances their learning styles, provides valuable educational and real-world experiences through an entrepreneurship program, and involves them in intentional environments throughout their school day that creates a safe and supportive social-emotional environment. The Academy Way is to focus our time on the strengths of our students, not their weaknesses. We help our children understand who they are, what their strengths are, and how to minimize their weaknesses.

In social studies, we spent the summer honoring our country’s 250th Birthday 🇺🇸. Our “Founding Father” project was a highlight for us as we learned about US history.

Each student chose a founding father and created him to add to our museum!

Next week we begin our full time school schedule again! 🎉

This summer, our students were presented with a challenging question: “Can an egg be dropped, from 12 feet high, without breaking?”

Our students were hard at work to prove that they could invent a contraption to
keep an egg safe from an intense drop!

Some eggs broke and some did not, we had fun trying!

Then we cooled off with Kona Ice!
