Hello Freshman Parents and Students:

Homecoming is October 24th and each grade is asked to submit a float for the parade. Float will be judged at parade line up and then displayed at the football game that night. We would like to have a student meeting on Wednesday, 10/1, during lunch in Mrs. Peacock’s classroom. This will be a chance for all interested students to help with the creative side of the float. The current theme is Later Gator, as we are playing the Baker Gators that week.

Additionally, we will need student volunteers to assist with building and decorating. Decorating cannot begin until Sunday, October 19th to allow the same timeline for all grades. We will have set times during that week for students to sign up to help. We will also need volunteer parents to be present as supervisors/helpers. Mrs. Godwin does circle by to ensure students are actively participating in the assembly of the float.

We do have a trailer secured but are still in need of a location to assemble and store the float from October 19th- October 24th, leading up to the parade. This location would preferably be in town, covered and lit so students can work on it afterschool or in the evening after sports.
