Pam Yoga 4 Peace Helping others find Peace & Joy through YOGA :-)

With over 40 years of dedicated personal practice and more than a decade as a certified yoga instructor, I bring a deep-rooted passion and lifelong connection to the art and science of yoga. My teaching is grounded in the belief that yoga is for every body—regardless of age, ability, or experience level. My approach is compassionate and accessible, blending alignment, breath, and mindful movement

to help students build strength, flexibility, and inner calm. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to deepen your existing practice, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can experience the transformative benefits of yoga—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Yoga has been a steady guide through every chapter of my life, and it’s my greatest joy to share its wisdom with others in a way that feels empowering, inclusive, and sustainable.

Hello, it's been awhile.
After a 2 year sabbatical, I started teaching yoga again this past November. It was sort of by accident. Tom and I joined the YMCA and I took a yoga class that turned out not to be yoga (as the instructor was away and they didn't have a yoga sub). I mentioned at the front desk that I am a certified yoga teacher and I would be happy to sub if needed and before I even got home I received a call from the fitness director to come in for an interview. There are many reasons I had "paused" not only teaching yoga, but my personal practice as well. Sometimes we question, sometimes we are busy, sometimes we are simply burned out. All of these things were true for me and I believe my break was healthy....but....I did miss my practice. Some of you may know what I mean when I say my practice is like an old friend. One that listens without judgment, one that asks tough questions and provides difficult answers and most importantly, one that just makes you happy. And for me, teaching yoga is an honor that brings me great joy. I'll admit that I used to think "gym yoga" was not real yoga. As someone who has always taught in a proper yoga studio, where people come specifically for yoga, I believed gym yoga was filled with people who only cared about the workout and not the bigger picture of yoga, which is much more important than the physical practice. However, my Friday morning yoga class has (in true yoga fashion) flipped my perspective. My students at the Y are completely open to yoga as a complex practice. They respect the breath-work, the mind-work and the connections made to the physical practice. I even have a few of them willing to OM with me 💜. As usual, I hope I give my students as much as they give me. They have already reminded me why I love this practice that once upon a time saved my life.
If you are in the Beaufort SC area, come visit me at the Y in Port Royal on Friday mornings at 7:30 am for an all-levels vinyasa yoga class. Beginners always welcomed. 💜

While I embrace that yoga is so much more than asana (the physical practice), I also embrace the calm and peace that simply watching Dylan move in such a magical way brings me. Enjoy.

There is much more too yoga than the physical practice but it's a great place to start. 😍
