Unfortunately, Live Oaks had to close its doors shortly after opening, due to issues with the building. While this was heartbreaking, and came at a huge cost to many, the safety of teachers and children is always our first priority.

We had so much from on our forest school field trip yesterday! Thank you to those who came, to Heidi and Sam for hosting, and to science teacher, John, for coming to do some fun experiments.

We learned about bees and made Mason bee houses
We learned about birds, made nests and little birds and painted “rock” eggs
We learned about squirrels and made a squirrel craft. Today the kids are writing stories about super squirrel!
We did some other fun crafts made from things found in nature.
We watched our science teacher do a fun experiment.
And kids had lots of fun with free play; ninja course, golf cart rides, trampoline, the forest club house, sand play, rowing, and just lots of exploring and forming friendships.

What amazing day!!

We’ve heard great things about Hometown Homeschool Association of South Carolina. Michelle Palczewski is always available, requirements or minimal and fees are low.

What an exciting day watching empty rooms turn into beautiful classrooms! Our teachers did such a great job as they began today to prep prepare for tomorrow night, when families will come to meet the teachers and see their classrooms. They all look incredible! Great job ladies and gentlemen!

Live Oaks Academy is looking for kindergarten and Pre-k aides. We also need a teen or young adult to help with teachers’ childcare on site.

Hours are Monday and Wednesday 8:15 AM-3:15 PM. $15 hour.
School starts 8/19. Must be able to start then.
