The SKWay Awards are given to those that exhibit the core values of the SK Way - Love People, Know Your Purpose, Get Better Every Day, Think Big, and Attitude of Gratitude.
Please join us in congratulating the following honorees who were recognized at the September 2nd School Board Meeting:
Sheila Reynolds | Attitude of Gratitude
Sheila truly embodies an attitude of gratitude. Each year, when Human Resources uses Orchard Heights for New Teacher Orientation, Sheila goes above and beyond to make sure the school is ready for our staff and visitors. As early as April, she thoughtfully plans for when the school will be prepared for the event. She ensures the entire building is clean, welcoming, and tidy, including every classroom used for training sessions. Her attention to detail and commitment to creating a positive first impression are greatly appreciated.
Storyteller Summit Team | Think Big!
The SK Storyteller Summit Team coordinated and implemented an inspiring inaugural event that showcased the voices and work of Indigenous authors and promoted literacy throughout South Kitsap. Their thoughtful collaboration, dedication, and attention to detail made this event a tremendous success and created a meaningful experience for our community. Thank you to Matt Haver, Amanda Waybright, Krissy Baese, Suzette Fernandez, Yolanda Harrison, Lisa Freeman, John Jaqua, Daniel Tajalle, Kristin Tajalle, Alex Potter, Brian Carlson and Kelsey Patterson.
Lisa Freeman | Think Big
Lisa is a problem solver and constantly reaches new heights in addressing and meeting the needs of those who reach out to her. She is always respectful and works hard to solve any issues or problems that arise. Lisa is always friendly and polite, no matter what the request is and responds in a timely manner. She fulfills the district office commitment to supporting all the staff in the schools.
Thank you all for living the SK Wayđź’™
