Happy 1st Day Back to School!! It's a beautiful Fall day and we are excited for our students and the learning adventures they have ahead of them this coming school year!

Hi friends!
We are looking to rehome our quail!
We were given quail eggs this past spring (for eating) and my boys decided to put them in the incubator instead!;) we successfully hatched 12 quail! They are wonderful little birds and the eggs are great! It just seems a bit much in addition to our morning chicken and bunny chores!
Looking to sell the hutch, 12 quail (one male), and all the feed and container for $100. (Price perhaps negotiable if you want to discuss it with the 6 year old!;))

Do you have a student who would enjoy learning some basic computer programming this summer in a fun, game based method?

Join our tutor Allie for an eight-week class with weekly ZOOM sessions (Tuesdays from 10AM to 11:30AM PDT), so it’s super accessible from home or on vacation. Class begins this week!

Over the eight weeks, students will work to build a video game using the PICO-8 software. This class is designed for students without experience writing code but who have an interest in computer science. Total Cost: $200.00

It's Monday! Our students who are continuing tutoring through the summer will be coming shortly along with their dedicated tutors who show up weekly with passion and excitement to help students thrive!

I am sitting here in reflection mode this morning! My mom and my aunt are visiting my younger brother in New York - the owner of Sey Coffee, a famous coffee shop in Brooklyn! He opened his coffee roasting business 20 years ago initially in a loft of his apartment building and has worked tirelessly for the dream he know owns! I am so proud of him!

While they are in New York, they are visiting the Statue of Liberty among other historical sites! They sent me this quote this morning from a man who was an immigrant to our great country many years ago: "Well, I came to America because I heard that the streets were paved with gold. When I got here, I found out three things: first, the streets weren't paved with gold; second, the streets weren't paved at all; and third, I was expected to pave them".

I am thankful to live in a land where I can pave my own road (often with help) and be here to help pave other's roads to success! This is our mission at Leslie's Tutoring!

As a family, we are working diligently to be ready to open our "classroom" space this fall! For us, that means our whole family gets to pitch in and dig! My boys are learning young what it means to "pave their own road"!
